Love is all around if you choose to open your heart.
Was there really no love for you or were you the one who is not accepting love?
Personally, I receive great joy from giving when someone fully receives my gift. Gifts of any kind; gestures of concern, being patient with someone, going through an ordeal with someone, celebrating good times etc… They may not always say “thank you” or reciprocate with something, as long as they do well with my gifts, to me is a form of receiving and thus I receive love in return because they accepted my gifts.
It is just making it about you when you can’t receive because you don’t want to or perhaps did but wasn’t happy with the gifts. But when you can have an open heart and take another person’s offering with appreciation regardless whether you need it or not, there is generosity and love in that act. Knowing how to receive with an open heart is a wisdom.
What would it be like for you to just open yourself and receive? Accept someone’s gift with gratitude and graciousness, because they
are wanting to love you. Can you open up and receive them and know that you don’t have to do anything to receive that gift in return? Imagine what the world will be like if everyone can receive love in this manner; the giver will be more motivated to give and you, indirectly are already giving love too other than just receiving!
Our heart knows clearly what love is, but we allow the influence of the society to shape our values which more often than not, resulted in diluting our inner wisdom. There are also cases where we create mental blocks and invalid beliefs to shun love away. What we believe about love will greatly affect how we perceive our experience of it. Even in the toughest challenges and heart-wrenching tragedies, love is available when we choose to open our hearts. It’s only when we close ourselves off and shut others off that we restrict love to flow into our lives. When we choose to open, even amidst the pain, we can feel love’s flow, receive and also give love.
May it be joy or pain that we are experiencing, opening our hearts allows the wealth of love as well as natural healing to come through. When you are open-hearted, even when it hurts, it’s when growth and fullness take place in us.
Take this weekend to open your heart and receive more love. Celebrate who you are – a beautiful person worthy of receiving love!
